ABOUT ME
Kyle is a multi-instrumentalist and music teacher based in Chicagoland. He has worked with a number of groups around Chicago covering a wide variety of genres on trumpet, keys, guitar and bass. Kyle received a music performance degree in 2014. Since then, he’s played in numerous musicals, wedding bands and jazz bands. He’s shared a stage with Barry Harris, Paula Cole, Christian McBride and Chance the Rapper, and has supported a number of Chicago artists, including Psalm One, Sir the Baptist and Sarita. He’s performed on some of Chicago’s biggest stages, including the Metro, Schubas, the Jazz Showcase, Chicago Theatre, Auditorium Theater, Rate Field, and the Pritzker Pavilion.
Kyle served as a music director for a church for 9 years, and has been teaching private lessons in the Chicago area since 2011. In 2024, he joined the Mattix School of Music as a piano, trumpet, and guitar teacher.
KYLE MILLER TRIO
Inspired by the cool sounds of Chet Baker and Miles Davis, the Kyle Miller Trio aims to create a musical ambiance suitable to any location with a large repertoire of jazz standards, classic songs, and thoughtful adaptations of popular and video game music. Kyle is typically backed by a guitar and bass, with the occasional addition of a drummer or pianist. The Trio has played in numerous restaurants and venues in the Chicagoland area since it’s formation in 2021, and their first album “As You Are” is set to release May 2026.
